An employer can purchase the MCC Incentive/Reward Card
as a way to compensate employees. Financial institutions can
offer this product to commercial customers and reseller organizations.
Program Description
The MCC
Incentive/Reward Card is purchased by an employer and sent to
the recipient as a reward for excellent performance. Cards are
purchased via the business or company Internet site and sent
directly to the cardholder, or can be shipped in bulk to the
employer. The card can be used anywhere Visa® or MasterCard®
is accepted.
Target Market
Incentive/Reward cards can be offered to financial institutions
that offer banking services to commercial customers. Commercial
customers can issue cards as a bonus and cash reward alternative.
The cost is lower than issuing a check, gift checks, or sending
ACH, and it provides convenience to the cardholder since the
value is immediately available. This card can also be offered
to commercial customers who have vendor relationships and would
like a vendor reward option. It is especially suited to companies
employing people who have goals and quotas to meet (i.e., sales
people) and who receive bonuses for meeting or exceeding those
goals.
